Hi,
You have identified that you have a potential problem. Well done for that!
The advice you have been given so far is very good. Spending less time at the computer and doing something physically active is a great start, but you also need to do something that occupies you and take your mind and hands away from unnecessary food eating.
Try and structure your evenings so that you spend say, only an hour on the computer. Get your homework and other tasks done and you will have a massive sense of achievement. Use a kitchen timer to help you with the computer time.
Many of us put food into our mouths for a variety of reasons, mostly as a substitute for what we actually need/want.
Here are some common reasons:
Boredom.
Tiredness.
Anger.
Feeling cold.
Sadness.
If you eat for any of those reasons, try asking yourself how you feel after. Do you feel any less Bored? Tired? Angry? Cold? Sad?
You will probably feel even more fed up because you have eaten and so not be in any better frame of mind or place than before. It can turn into a vicious cycle.
The answer to those problems are thus:
Boredom = find something else to do - distract yourself
Tired - go to bed - have a nap
Angry - find something to do that wilol calm you down - have a bath, go for a walk, punch a pillow, bite a towel! lol
Cold - wrap up a bit more, or do some physical exercise, have a lovely bubble bath and pamper yourself.
Sadness - do something else to cheer you up, talk to a friend or family member to get through it.
Listen to your body. Real hunger usually produces a hollow feeling in the stomach. Drink lots of water, your body is like a water wheel that needs a constant supply to keep it working well. A grape becomes a sultana when dried, that's how your cells work; not enough water will have them shrinking and your skin will suffer. Try to aim for 8 large glasses of water a day.
Finally, your stomach takes about half an hour to realise it is full. Wait half an hour before reaching for anything else and of course, drink a glass of water in the meantime!
Best of luck with your efforts to make your relationship with food better!

Hello, before you start... remember this point, it is VERY important for you to have at the very least 3 proper meals a day and a small snack in between. Try to drink lots of water as sometimes we misread the body's signs that we're more thirsty than hungry... if you're feeling snackish and had water... get out for some fresh air and go for a walk to take your mind off things, exercise is so important even if you start with small walks, better yet ask your parents to get you a bike, it doesn't have to be expensive or look into a social club... learn roller blading - that's exercise and it's learning a new skill to take your mind off those hunger pangs. Instead of coming home to the computer, head out for a little bit of activity, then come home to your homework, all that fresh air, activity and brainstorming homework should make you feel a little tired so try your best to get an early night, the more sleep you get the more functional you'll feel and the better you'll be able to cope. Remember 3 important meals a day, healthy meat and veg and snack on fruit - you're so young and it is very important that you get the right nutrients for proper development. Try cutting out the junk foods (hard I know from my own experience, it's mind over matter). Hope this helps. Good luck.

Its normal at your age. The hormone levels in your body may cause you to eat. But this is the time to watch what you eat because it will affect the rest of your life. Go outside there are plenty of things you can do besides sit infront of the computer. Enjoy life its too short. The reason that you may feel tired all the time is you may have anemia. Try eating greens or taking multivitamins but preferably the greens it will help control the amount you eat and give you the vitamins and minerals you need to grow. Hope this helped

Evaluate the reasons you are eating and try and prevent that. If you are eating because you are bored, find something to do that you really enjoy. If you are eating because of depression try different methods to boost your spirits, maybe art, journaling, reading, knitting, etc. Often times depression is relieved by doing something productive. You first need to figure out why you are eating. If it is because you're hungry make smarter choices of foods. Good luck to you and congrats on figuring this out so early. There are a lot of obese people that don't figure this out until they are much older and the habits are really formed. Exercise also, not only does it make you feel better, but it won't take too long to see some results. Good luck sweetie!

Is there something troubling you, perhaps? People look to food to make them feel better quite often, so that could be your problem. Talking to your friends and family could help this. If not, you may want to consider a councellor.
Just try to keep yourself distracted. Whenever you feel like eating, do something else that you enjoy, whether it be reading or listening to music, etc.
You could also make a pact with yourself that for every week you can control how much (and what) you eat, you'll reward yourself at the end of that week. Make sure, however, that the reward is not edible!
I've had trouble with this myself, so I know how difficult it can be. It's fine once you get going, though. All the best of luck to you.

You know you have a problem so don't sit here typing it down get out and do somethjing about it, do some aerobic exercise instead of working out ur fingers on ur keyboard.
find a girls figure in a magazine or something that u would like to have and carry it around with you. Everytime your being lazy or pigging out look at the pic and remind yourself that ur not gonna have that if you stay where you are or eat what your about to eat. Not many girls are happy with their figures but unless tour willing to do something about it then there's no point moaning

Ok, there are a number of things taht you must do. First, you must figure out why yo uare overeatting. If it is because you are just bored or have nothing else to do, find something to occupy you that will not allow you to eat. If it is because of emotional stress then that is a whole other ballgame. You have to root out the cause of your overeatting and create a coping skill to help you deal with that cause before you do anything else. Second, I would suggest you try eatting something that is better for you when you do decide to eat. Eatting better foods will not only help with weight control, but will also increase your energy and make you actually want to get up and move about. Third, drink more water. Water will fill you up so you will not want to eat and it will help in the processing of existing fat. Fourth, change your focus. You do not need to focus on that desire to be thin. Try focusing on something like trying to feel better or have more energy. Focusing on the desire to be thin will only make you weigh yourself too often and get discouraged when you see little change in your actual weight. Fifth, find someone to be your accountability partner. It can be anyone that will tell you like it is but does truly care about you so they are telling you for your own good and you will not take offense to it as much. Finally, keep a jounal. Write in your journal what you eat, when you eat, where you were when you were eatting, how you felt before and during your eatting, etc. Anything you want can go in there, just make sure to write in it regularly. If you eat because you are bored, try writting in your journal for about 5-10 minutes before you start eatting. That will give tiem for the craving to pass and time for you to find something else that oyu can do.
You can control yourself, it is just going to take a great act of will power on your part. Just keep your focus on the desire to be happy and healthy and you will succeed provided you stay dedicated to your goals. You can set a weight loss goal if you want, but if you do, do not weight yourself more than twice a week. if you weigh yourself too much, you will get discouraged which will likely lead you back to eatting again.
I wish you all the best and much success on your path. Just remember, you can do it, you just have to set your mind to it and get it done. Best of luck and blessings.

I don't know if you're lazy, you seem like you're just bored to me. Don't worry about what you eat, as long as you eat slowly and don't guzzle down food then you're ok. And doing stuff, like exercise will put you in the mood to do more, so just do say, ten sit ups before you go to bed, and if you're still in the mood do ten more, and if you still want to carry on try some stretches and maybe some push ups. Give it a try ok : )

slap slap slap slap.....snap out of it. you want to eat eat eat? fine...then exercise for 60-90 minutes a day.......
if people would exercise more they would not have to worry so darn much about food...Are you really serious about doing this? We are talking about hard work. Putting down your little debbies, getting off your butt and not only going on a diet but EXERCISING!!! Even if you lose the weight it will come right back if you do not have the desire and motivation to not only look cute but to be healthy. it is going to take alot of inner strength I can assure you of that.
1.) eat 4-5 small meals a day
2.) drink lots of water
3.)exercise every day
4.) do not eat 4-6 hours before you sleep.

well get your family involved tell your family to throw out all the unhealthy food and replace i with healthy food so if you really need something to eat you have to eat something healthy, also it is a fact that most people think they are hungry when they are really thirsty so keep a drink around and when you feel hungry have a drink instead just make sure you are eating the right things and getting enough liquid into you to keep you going....
