Terrorism Draws Great Harm Upon the MuslimsUpdate!
Terrorism Draws Great Harm Upon the Muslims
The truth is that they harm Islaam and further turn people away from it. The Muslims reached the point where they almost want to cover their faces in order to avoid being attributed to this terrifying group. Islaam is free from it. Even after Jihaad was ordained, the companions of the Prophet never used to go to non-Muslim societies and kill them, never! There is no Jihaad except under the banner of a ruler who has the ability to carry it out. As for terrorism, by Allaah it is a deficiency on the part of the Muslims, I swear by Allaah, we never see its benefits, rather it is the opposite, it distorts the reputation of Islaam. But if were to act with wisdom, fear Allaah within our own selves firstly and then try to rectify other people's affairs with legislated methods, the results would be positive.

This is not an anti Islam question. It is a pro Islam one, and I am not against this. I am pointing out that we are working at stopping terorrists. I am pointing out that the majority of us are being harmed by this as well.

I've been to Pakistan a few times and loved it for the most part. As for "al taqqiya" or whatever, the only time I've heard of it is from non muslims who go to propaganda sites. Why not just check the source if you don't believe it? Ask for a number in the Quran or hadith for proof. No need to lie.

Only 3% of Muslims, or so-called Muslims are terrorists or have at one time in their lives taken up arms. You'd have to be particularly naive to think that Muslims are all terrorists, its the most peaceful religion and those that wish to use it as their battle-cry are in many ways as pathetic as you!!
By the way, its Islam, not Islaam!!!!
I don't need to consult the Qu'ran, i've read it!! I am a Muslim and am quite annoyed that the majority of the people that have answered this question believe, in their hearts, that Muslims are in the most part responsible, on the whole for what has happened in terms of security on planes, terrorism etc. Terrorists are renegade "believers" in what the religion has to offer, they do not hold what it really says deep within them...
I must admit though that such a question should have never been aired, REAL muslims don't Jiaad and thats a fact!!

I like what Braennvin had to say about the peace march. I wish I knew how to carry out and plan such an event. I am for one- tired of being associated with jihadists who kill innocent people, and with terrorists.
I would never harm anyone unless they were out to harm me.
I wish something more could be done!

Interesting concept. I went to Pakistan this past summer, and the people were so warm and hospitable. I was treated like a queen. I wish more people would have had that experience.

I know people of the Muslim faith and they are very upset by the acts of terrorism done by the radical Muslim's. So this doesn't surprise me at all. I just wish they'd find away to have peace talks with their radical Muslim brothers and sisters.

Sounds like a trap to me.
IIn Islam there is a thing called "al takeyya" which means that a Muslim is encouraged to lie if it helps Islam or another Muslim.
This is why Muslims, even "good" ones can not be trusted.

You had me until you said "rectify other people's affairs with legislated methods". I think that sentiment is part of the problem. Why do Muslims feel an obligation to control other people's behavior?

Why don't Muslims hold a peace march and march for peace and against terrorism? I am serious, I think that would be awesome.
