Ultram is not only addictive but it dosn't work and can cause seizures. The reason docs precribe Ultram is because they are quaks and not trained properly in chronic pain. I would try Norco which has only 325 Mg of aceto rather than 750 or 500 seen in Lortabs or Vicodin ES. Opiates based pain relivers are not addictive if taken properly. Don't fear them because there are all these idiots out there abusing them and you hear all these horror stories about them. Methadone/Oxycontin is another option but it comes with stigma although it does not contain aceto. Opiates themselves do not cause liver damage. Stay away from Motrin (another drug docs prescrib fearing opiate based lawsuits) Good Luck.

all pain reliever is bad for you liver or your stomach if you take it everyday for a long period of time. If you are just going to take it for headaches or pain when you need it you it shouldn't have any effect long term on your stomach or liver.

Some pain relievers will be easier for you than others.
Trial and error basically. All meds go thru the stomach and liver.
Check with your doctor, perhaps you have an ulcer? or acid reflux problem? ?
