Please advise who manufactures Birds Eye Custard and Pud's so I can order some for my mum (born Coventry 1917). The store we usually get it from will not carry it anymore due to lack of interest...
The reason is that I would like to see if they have a wholesaler in the US or who carries it so I can purchase some. Many Thanks!

You know, all I wanted was a serious answer. Why can't some people not resist from making fools of themselves? My mum misses the UK very much and is too frail to travel anymore. This is one little thing that can put a smile on my mums face. You should see it!

You can but it's not very nice. I use milk powder, in fact Tesco's coffee creamer. I make a pint of that in a jug and put on a low gas to heat through with a little sugar. I mix a desert spoon of Bird's custard powder in the jug with water to a thickish paste. BEFORE the milk gets too hot, certainly NOT boiling - add it to the custard paste gradually and stirring all the time. If you do it the other way around you will get lumpy custards. Always add the warm to the cold. Pour it all back in the saucepan and stir in a figure of eight with a wooden spoon whilst actually cooking it. Do not boil it. It is ready when the custard coats the back of the spoon.

Ok,,, mostly I think these folk are wrong... And your question is a little confusing...
'Birds'... Is a company that makes Custard and Trifles and Stuff
'Birds-Eye' - Is a completely different company that does the Fish Fingers and Burgers and Stuff...
Someone tell me that I am not imagining that??
You can order it online here -

Had a look on the carton I have- says Premier Ambient Products (UK) Ltd, based in Lincolnshire. There are stores here that provide US food products by mail so I am sure the reverse is true.

Actually the company is called Birds and not BirdsEye. If you're in the US try www.britishdelights.com or www.britsuperstore.com as they do it.
Hope you both enjoy!
