I have had a chemical reaction like that before. Except mine was some funky green-gold color. It really depends on your ethnic background. It you are white, it will be okay to put another permanent color on top of the bright color. But if you are black, then you have to use a semi-permanent color. Because our hair is not the same texture and we cannot put permanent color on top of another unless a six-week period has passed.

I went with a medium color to tone it down. You will have to keep it really well conditioned. That is vital when coloring hair. Condition, condition, condition. Good Luck.

usually this happens when brunettes try to go too far out of their color range into the light blondes.

if possible you should get to a salon and have your hair stripped of the color. its a bit expensive.

if not, you should try to go darker rather than lighter. but i recommend waiting atleast 2 weeks before dying again, esp. if you arent going to a salon

Beauty supply stores carry neutralizers and stabilizers. Run by there, show them your hair and they'll give you the stuff you need to fix it.

First, get a hair stylist. Then, dye it back yo its original color. Don't try to do it yourself. Let a professional handle it!
