A live trees removes 60 pounds per year of air pollution. One pound equals 0.45359237 Kilograms or 2.20462262 pounds per one Kilogram. 7000*2.20462262\60=257.20596. So you wold have to plant 258 trees.

Not just trees ,all green plants take in CO2 and give us back oxygen. The plants need CO2 as much as we do oxygen. Algae ,kelp ,grass, and many others they all live by photosynthesis. They are doing a great job so far I have measured no increase in the CO2 level. Some environmentalist say that it has increased 30% it has not,go measure it and u will find 1 to 2 parts per million.

I think that the I answer you have got is more accurate and precise than mine. I only know that A long life tree of Neem, Peepal, Banyan, Mango or Jamun control greatest air pollution worth Rs 10.5 lacs. Also, the approximate value of a long life tree is Rs 32.0 lacs.
