EPO (Evening primrose oil) doesn't induce labor. It ripens your cervix. I know of no risks involved with using EPO and have used it with 2 of my 3 pregnancies.
Castor oil isn't a good idea. It gives you the runs and makes you very uncomfortable. It can also give baby the runs, so that he passes his first stool in the womb, which can be dangerous.

Castor oil can cause severe diarrhea and abdominal/intestinal cramping. It's not worth it in my opinion.
Primrose oil is supposed to help soften your cervix but I don't know if it has any bad side effects. I've heard it doesn't really help that much unless you're ready to go into labor anyhow

Try Raspberry Leaf tea, it helps with the let down reflex for breastfeeding and can also start of contractions. I have a friend who has 6 kids and has used it 5 times to start labour and it's worked for her every time.

Castor oil will make you sick
Evening primrose oil has many valuable uses and as I recall..my midwife recommended I take it but it did not do anything as far as labor goes.

you will desire to ask your physician. i replaced into instructed that castor oil makes you poop (have diarrhoea) relatively undesirable. it is as much as you in case you opt to take it yet you quite would desire to ask your physician what they think of. How approximately having them strip your membranes? that would desire to help too. yet your infant will come whilst its waiting!! sturdy luck!!
