Hey Vee,

I found some existing only in the United States on Family Search. They can be found at the first link. Ellis Island uses the SOUNDEX (a name algorithm) to find similar likely names, so, I looked there and they suggest (only the top 7 or so that begin with T, there were more), that the name was changed on entry to the US:---------------------
Tejasingh 96%
Tokaszanch 87%
Tachasink 85%
Tukaczyyns 85%
Tegoghengh 83%
Tujeszyn 82%

They are listed as Hebrew from Russia on the Passenger records.

The Coat of Arms sites don't have the name either. I suggest you trace back using Vital Records so you have absolute knowledge of the lineage, then it will be easier to determine the origin.

Yes......Teekasingh , as a surname to those original from British Guiana< Guyana> is a made up name....using the First name of my great Grand Father and his middle name.....its NOT THE FAMILY NAME.....which should have been....TAIN.....

I believe that name to be of Russian Hebrew origin

i believe its an Indian family, many family's there are singh in the end, they are sardars and usually work in army and government.
