Yeah our Border is exactly the same, but its quite un-nerving when she follows you about the house smiling, makes me wonder what shes done or thinking of doing!!

We had a Collie...he passed away at 16...he was the smartest dog I've ever met...He was very expressive and certainly understood EVERY word we said...you could ask him a question ...eg...Where is Max...and he would go off and come back with the Jack Russel Max in tow...or what time is it?? He would look at the clock. He eventually understood words that we would spell for him. Super smart dogs in the right environment..they do need stimulation. Very handsome too!!!

I have a border collie and they are very animated dogs :)
I can't describe the facial expresions and bodily actions of your dog because mine is different, But after a while you will be able to pick up what he wants or when he wants affection, outside etc.

My Border Collie pup is the same, he has very expressive eyes and I can tell when he is plotting to do something naughty, it's quite funny.

You will always know if your dog is feeling happy or sad and if he is feeling mischievous!!!!

Go with what your dogmom instincts are telling you he is saying. Chances are, you'll be right. You can tell a lot about a dogs mood by his/her tail too.

You can't. Its a dog.

Its only thoughts are food/drink/sex. You have a one in three chance of being right if you guess
