Now, I believe that money is the root of all evil, but some say its the root of all happiness. Which one would you choose?

Honestly, it depends on what will make you happy.
Driving a Farrari?
Owning your own business?
Having Celebrity Status and access?
Traveling and Parlaying?
Having your own entourage?
Money could probably make you happy with those things. But if you want true friendship, honesty, loyalty, devotion, etc. It's next to impossible that money will bring you happiness in those aspects of your life. Some of the people around you will only like you for your money and the things that you can buy them. In other words, they will be loyal to the DOLLAR! Not you. And when you realize it, it might make you angry or watchful of them to make sure they don't player-hate on you by stealing your dough. So, instead of happiness, now you've got worry and stress in your life... and you can't sleep at night because you're having nightmares about someone stealing your cash or trying to use you for it and what you can give them.
It's good to have some cash, but don't let it be EVERYTHING to you. Just like the Bible proverb says: "the love of money is the root of all evil." And it can hurt in more ways than one. Emotionally/ Mentally, and Physically (jeopardizing your safety from hooligans and thugs who are greedy and malicious).
I like money, but I don't over-do the flash and bling. And I'm always willing to share with my family and friends in times of need. Some only come around when they need something, but you gotta recognize the "game" and stay away from those types - or just say "no".
So money has its good and bad points.

Well, Money isn't the root of all evil: THE LOVE OF MONEY is the root of all evil! Money is just an object, WE humans blow it out of proportions
Honestly: Money can or will buy happiness (for a little while) Why do you think that when someone die the insurance company gives them a lot of dough? Because we (Americans) think money will make us happy.
Then on the other hand: You see celebrities are filthy rich and they still are not happy!
So it just depends on what makes you happy!

I would choose the root of all evil. If you let money run your life when the money runs out then what will you have. Don't always depend on money to make you happy, sometimes it will make you unhappy and depressed.

money cant buy happiness -- that comes from within but having enough money to supply the basics of life means that you can find happiness easier

a lot of things that make you happy don't come cheap. For example if you wanted to buy a little house with few acre's to live simply under god's sky how do you get it?????? if you need money to help your dying daughter, if you simply want a hobby!!!!!!!!!

As to money being the root of all evil, it may be, but it is a necessary one.

Money can buy the things can can lead to happiness.
It's all a matter of what you do with it.
1 million dollars would keep me happy for a year... but someone else would be happy for life!

i say it can buy happiness only to an extent, if you got money and then you can get almost anything you want thus making you happy...but some things money cant buy
