Generally I have always had great eyesight. I am on a computer all day and I notice for the last two weeks I get headaches just about everyday. On the weekends when im home it's fine. Is this a sign I may need glasses on the computer? if so. How can I get them? do eye exams hurt? I'm afraid if having things too close to my eyes..any info will help :)

My former eye doctor explained something about computers and light several years back--we were just talking. Basically, he said computers throw off a different kind of light than the average table lamp and, combined with the print, it can give some people problems. I don't suffer, but I'm not on one that long. Eye exams are nothing to be afraid of. I have the same problem you do regarding having things too close to my eyes--I don't handle that too well either. It's normal and involuntary. After my former doc retired, I told my new one and, like my former one, he helps me hold my eye open while he puts dialation drops (to see inside my eye better) in or gives me an eye pressure/glaucoma check. Go have it done if you want...you'll be fine.

Well it might be of stress or bad eyesight .. just examine .. it wouldn't do you any harm .. but be cautious .. these hedaches if they come everyday you Should worry ... cause hedaches mean that there is something wrong going in there...

So firstly have an eyesight exam... and if ur deeply afraid of this exam or you have somekind of phobia from anything that touches your eye, go to a hypnotist or an NLP practioneer ... 1 session would be really enough .. they would get all of the phobia out...

When you finish that if you still have headaches, visit a doctor that examines ur brains .. don't worry u probably don't have anything .. but you won't lose anything ...

If nothing shows up in these examinations then u r a bit stressfull .. then u would know what ur dealing with ... and there r numerous resources that can help u with stress issues...

Hope this can help :)

I would recommend a complete eye exam. It will be worth the minor discomfort that is very temporary to resolve the major discomfort that you are experiencing now. For my work I have a special pair of glasses that are meant specifically for computer work. I know longer experience the eye strain head aches, and they are really cool looking, I get compliments on them daily. It was a very good investment for me. It is very important that you get the proper prescription for you eyes, so I would not recommend that you just purchase department store readers.

You should have an eye exam. It doesn't hurt at all and you will find out if you need glasses. Make an appointment now!

It could be that you're tired, I notice when I get tired I also get a blurrier vision and a twitch in my left eye, but after I had a good rest, it's back to normal.
