I'm afraid so. I am in that situation right now. I have been in love with someone who is married to someone else now for two years. I am sure I will love this man until I die. And I know he loves me but there are so many factors... I feel good just having the opportunity to love someone this much and what keeps me going is thinking that maybe at the end of it all we will be together.

I have an ex fiance and I still have feelings for him maybe not the love I once felt for him but I still care. I am now married and I felt the same as you in the beginning. Will I ever love this man the way I loved my first. The answer is No. I love my husband in a totally different way. And I wouldnt change a thing.

I think that is very sweet. I know you are married now but if this other man is your soul mate, staying with your current partner is not fair to him. If you are really in love pursue it. But if you don't sure its possible to always love that person. Our hearts are big enough to love many people. and yes it is possible to be in love with two at the same time. Not good but happens. Good luck

I believe you could absolutely love someone else. For one thing there are different kinds and degrees of love. I think though if as you said that someone broke your heart it will fade and hopefully you can grow to love the one you married for real.

It is possible to love someone else other than the person you are married to. That is how life works sometimes.

yes to both..
he will always be in your heart.. a special place that no one can ever replace.
but there is always a room for another love.. beside the other.
only time can tell as time can heal..
pray hard!

i think your refering to settling for 2nd place....
thats a little metaphore for playing it safe rather than going for what you really want....
I think it happens a lot more than we realise, I dont mean for this to be as glib as it sounds, but some of us every now and then think 'could i do better than this?'
so, yes i think it can and does more often than most are willing to admit.
