I got a tattoo on my wrist/forearm. Can I still exercise and lift weights or should I wait till it heals up?

Absolutely! Getting a tattoo is only a superficial "wound" on the body's skin surface. Any discomfort you feel is going to be locally located around the surface of the skin directly around your tattoo. Excercising/working-out will NOT be a problem!

Tattoos are fine ways to express yourself. You are left with a permanent marking on your body. Ever reminded of the inspiration which led you to this act you can never forget the sacrifice you made to let the world know who you really are. All this without having to say a word. What a medium!

It should not affect your workout but if you feel pain on your wrist then stop exercising.
