my gf has a male friend that told her a few months back that he had feelings for her. she expressed to him that while she was flattered she did not feel the same way about him. that was at the very beginning of our relationship. before we were a couple. Yesterday she told me about a phone conversation she had with him. He called her and in a joking manner said "Are you single yet?" She laughed at it and left it at that. He on the other hand let her know that his feelings had not gone away. Once again she declined and told him that she was very much in love with me. She did tell him though that she did not want this to affect their friendship and she wanted to continue hanging out with him periodically. This has been a friend of hers for many years and I'm not the type of person to tell someone they can't have certain friends. I trust her 100% and I know nothing would happen on her part. What I don't liek is that knowing she has a bf he continues telling her how much he likes her.

Okay, I can say from my past relationships If you trust her 100% then there is no problem. However I would talk to her or him to stop making comments about liking her cause that is disrespectful! Either she needs to tell him or you do. Don't let that continue. I am very impressed with the way SHE is handling his disparriging remarks and consistantly turning him down. But as for you being upset or not? Not upset, just cautious. Get him in check and all will be fine.

i do not think it is wrong to be concerned... but being upset is being jealous... If she is your GF and really loves you and wants to be with you and like you said you trust her 100% then you should just take is as you have a great girlfriend. Maybe you should talk to her about it and let her know that it is a concern that he keeps professing his feelings for her...tell her to tell him that it is inappropriate and he needs to stop.

Basically you cant stop her hanging out with him - and you're right not to even try. He'll get bored eventually of you two being happy and him not being in the picture.

As long as she has told him the score he'll just have to deal with it. He'll get over it. Its probably just the thrill of the chase at the minute, but will soon get bored when he cant get what he wants, then it'll just go back to being friendship again
