whats your opinion about dating people you meet online? is this odd/bad/stupid etc? i've heard some say that those who come to chat rooms for dating are stupid people, n jerks. IS this true? i've dated few people who i've met online, do i have to be ashamed of this and not do it any more? thanx

well meeting someone on-line is the same as meeting someone on the subway for example...so don't worry much ' bout it and keep on dating

As long as you are being cautious and careful, dating someone you met online is not totally bad or stupid. It can be viewed as another avenue to meet other people. Some people don't have time to get out and meet people or want to do the bar scene. The same people you meet online can be easily be met in real life.
Just make sure you don't give any personal information nor let them know where you live. Meet them in a neutral place in public for safety. Let someone know where you are going on the first few dates. That way someone knows where you are at just in case the worst happens. Also do keep in mind that there are a lot of people who misrepresent themselves online.

look m8 i see nothin wrong with aslong as u go about it the right way..... first talk for awhile b4 u meet and wen u do meet make it somewhere public with lots of ppl around and if he/she doesn't want to do that odds are he/she is eitha up to no good or married and scared they will get caught.even take a friend with ya cause sometimes they can pick up on things that we don't see and they can make sure ur safe.. i have dated a few guys i have met online and even thou they haven't worked out i have made some close friends who are there wen i need them.. so go for it and be safe....

No.. u dnt have to be ashamed of that.
if there are stupid people in the society then there will be stupid people in the chat rooms.... thats all... not every one u meet in chat room are stupid nor every u meet out side are intelligent....
U should date people.. you meet online or offline IF U FEEL ITS RIGHT/OK. trust urself first.. u shlould keep trying .. u will nvr know what u missed ....so my advice belive in u.. and dnt listen these "stupid' notions.....

No one who uses chat rooms to find a date is stupid they are useing all ways to find love, and you don't have to be ashamed for dateing people from on line 1,000 of people do it.
You just have to be careful and make sure you tell somebody that you ae going to meet someone on line just in case they are not who they say they are. I think it is good to look for love on line.
It's just to hard to find love these days.

dating people from the internet, U must be very careful... U don't know who U are chating with... but the same goes w/meeting someone at the grocery store... I wouldn't say that meeting people on the internet is that bad...

No. you don't have to feel ashame. This is just another way of enlarging your sosial circle. There is nothing wrong with it. Just be extra careful with them.
