a man who weighs 10 stone and his two 5 stone twin sons are on a trek and come to a river. There is no bridge to cross the river and no other way across save for a very small boat, the boat only carries 10 stone in weight, no one can swim, how do they cross the river and continue thier journey?

two sons cross the river and one stay behind and the other fetchs the boat back the father goes across the river and sends the son back to fetch the other twin

Simple.

First the two sons cross the river. They weigh 10. One of them comes back and then the man takes the boat and crosses the other side. The son on the other side brings the boat back and the two sons cross the river. They both weigh 10.

Do they have their mobiles with them? If not, this was a very poorly planned excursion indeed. They need to stop going out together, or bring the Mum next time. She would have known that there was no bridge
