Any information on how it is bad for them and what I can do to pevent it would be highly appreciated! thanks.

It isn't bad if it is comfortable for you; if your legs don't fall asleep.

However, you do restrict blood flow that way, and can cause damage to the muscles after a while, since they are not getting enough oxygen that is sent through normal blood flow.

Sitting On Your Knees

Unless you keep your position to the point where your legs get numb and start to ache, this is OK, and should cause no harm for a 15 year old. But if the urge is excessive, it can be due to lack of stretching your muscles and joints after high impact sports in which case the body forces you to compansate for it during the rest of the day.

i don't know about knees, but it sure is damaging for your feet blood vessels. u get bend at knees - blod doesn't circulate, u might get varicose desease. it is very important to sit correctly if u need to spend a lot of time in sitting position

I don't think so. It seems like a natural position, but some "expert" will probably come on here and say that it's bad.
