what are you saying? that you want to lose weight? at your height and weight,,,,, you are about right, if your small boned at most you would still only need to drop a couple of pounds,,,,, if the problem is more where the weight is located, you need to find specific exercises for that body part,,,,, also, important for everyone, is to keep an eye on the sodium content of all the foods you eat,, as that is very bad for you, and can help you retain water,,,,

This is a prime example of society making girls think they're too fat. You're 16. You're still developing. And anyways, 5' 4.5" and 112 lbs IS NOT FAT! It's a good, proportional height/weight ratio. And, 22% body fat is just above average for women under 30 (14%-21%), but that's for women 18+, I'm sure. Like I said before...you're still developing, so it's not something to worry about that much. Women also tend to have a higher body fat percentage than men, and that's just how their bodies are built. Your daily diet seems fine, except for other health reasons, I'd switch the hamburger to either turkey burgers or chicken breasts. I, personally think your weight is fine, because seriously...who wants a toothpick? Not me...

It sounds like you're not getting many fruite and vegetables. Instead of eating your teddy graham packs, try eating an apple, or an orange. Also, wheaties aren't the best cereal for you. Try Go-Lean Crunch cereal, plus, its great with some fruit added to it! Lastly, make sure the yogurt you are eating is fat free. Good luck, and continue to drink plenty of water.

You are fine. I'm 5 foot 2 and up until I got into college, I weighed 120lbs. After I started college, I guess I lost all my baby fat and, without dieting and just my phys ed classes, I dropped to 105 lbs. My mom thought I had an eating disorder.... Women's body fat percentage should be around 20% anyways. Women are supposed to have more body fat than men because of our ability to have children. Our mid-sections are supposed to be able to expand with a growing fetus.
Keep up the weight trainning and diet, sounds really mature and thought out for someone who is 16. One question though, how much do the weights weigh? I used to do toning with 3 pound weights.... Maybe increase the weight you are trainning with or increase the amount of reps you are doing. You'll start to see a difference soon, even if it takes a little longer, just tell yourself what you're doing is great for your body, inside and out. Keep it up!

Maybe you should try aerobics. I would also replace all the snacks like teddy grams with fruit.. I try to stay away from chocolate milk and corn is a natural starch so be sure not to eat it when you are eating any other starch products.. That includes breaded items. I would dump the hamburger and go for fish or tuna or chicken breast broiled... lol..

OK, I am 13 and we are the same weight, same height, and I work out to. My docter and all the docters in Georgia, Kansas, and in Mississippi think that I'm the fittest girl in the country, and I might be. I have a 28 inch stomach around, 32 inch hip around and 36A.
You are three years older than me and I bet we are the same. You have nothing to worry about, Your wait is coming from you muscle (muscle ways more than body fat) and you are pretty healthy if that is how you eat. Your not fat, you do not need a diet, and you are very, very fit. Don't worry about.

You posted this before. You are fine, you don't need to lose weight and your body fat percentage is considered to be ideal.
It takes time to build muscle, it doesn't happen overnight and you are not eating enough protein. You need to consume more oily fish, eggs, turkey, chicken, lean beef/ham and baked beans. A slice of ham and a hamburger isn't really going to do the job. HTH : )

Your body fat seems low but your BMI is about 19.2 and this is normal for your age. If you really want to lose weight than exercise (walking, running) if you really want to be slimmer. Weight lifting should be additional exercise for your body type. And because you don't seem to be overweight don't expect drastic changes in your weight too soon. You are completely normal and try to be happy with your weight. You are too young also you should eat more meat and milky products.

I don't understand... are you trying to lose weight because you really don't need to!
Your diet is very healthy but you do need some more fruit and veggies...try a salad with your lunch and some berries with your breakfast.
Also, you probably need more protein...try some tuna or beans if you don't like beans.
Remember...your weight is great for your height!

You are healthy! You are at a good weight, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. I'm 17, the same height as you, and I only wish I weighed what you do. You can use the weights to build and tone your muscles, but you don't need to lose weight!
