Also, What are the implications (positive and negative) of the continuing develpment of the world, in relation to deforestation, carbon dioxoide levels, and the ozone layer?
How could this negative trend of ozone depeletion be stopped or reversed?

Knowing from this--. THe importance of this layer surrounding our planet is that it absorbs much of the harmful radiation that is emitted by the sun. Consequently, the ozone layer only allows through those wavelengths that are least harmful to organisms, However, there has been an increasing trend of depeletion of the ozone layer. Many people refer to this as a "hole" in the ozone layer. Due to CFC's being released decades ago, the buring of fossil fuels (which releases carbon dioxide), and the deforestation of many tropical forests, the ozone layer has been getting thinner and thinner, and more and more harmful rays are being let through to the Earth's surface. etc

Please someone help mee =( i need this for my essay quick!

Do not read what Jonnie wrote... First of all the ozone layer is not thinning anymore because of the Montreal Protocol that bans CFC production. The ozone will be healed within 100 years hopefully. The more trees we have the more CO2 we can take out of the atmosphere, so we must plant more trees instead of continuing deforestation. If we destroy all the forests then we will increase the rate of global warming with incredible speed. We must continue development outside of tropical forests because without them we will all perish very quickly.

First the ozone layer is a hoax. The ozone layer is created by the collision of the solar winds and our magnetic field.
How much do u think that CO2 has increased. The environmentalist want u to think that it has increased 30% which is not true ,how much has it increased??? would u believe that it has not increased. Mother nature has a system set up ,in the plants take in CO2 and give us back oxygen. That is why that CO2 measures 1 to 2 parts per million. IT has been at that level for a very long time . It is taken care of by photosynthesis, don't u remember. even with 6 billion people breathing and burning all kinds of stuff it is still the same.

Ok, here's the thing.

ocean algea is what really provides us with the majority of our oxygen, so it isn't a lack of oxygen we worry about.

You see, trees are carbon sinks. They contain tons of carbon that would otherwise be in our atmosphere. One of the reasons slash and burn is so harmful is because it releases those tons of CO2 into the atmosphere, and CO2 causes global warming.
