My parents have been singing this half-forgotten jingle my whole life. They are from the NYC area, born in the early thirties. Any idea what this is for? And how the rest of it goes? My father's version continues : "it's delightful order some! Now demand it - here's the name...." but my mother's version continues : "it's nutricious order some!"

Piels Light Beer of Broadway fame. Incidentally, your father was right -- the whole jingle was "It's delicious, yum yum yum; It's delightful, order some. Now demanded here's the name: Piels Light Beer of Broadway fame."

Thanks Frank! I didn't mention in it my original post, but my father always insisted that this was a beer jingle!

I just always found it hard to believe that the words "delicious," "delightful," and "yum yum yum" could apply to beer!

Thanks again!
