I have a now 4 year old blk and white male chihuahua. He's considered obese because he weighs about13-15 lbs. His personality is very scared and shaky. If he wants to protect from something like another animal he'll run about 30ft. away and then bark at it. He ocassionally wrestles with his buddies which are a toy poodle, cavalier king charles spaniel, miature schnuazer, golden retriever, and a boxador(that's just what my dad calls it, he's a half boxer half labrador)

Anyway after i give my dog a bath and dry him off he goes crazy! not bad crazy though. he just starts running around the house jumping off of the walls basically and playing and having fun with every animal he comes in contact wtih. After about half an hour he's back to normal.

IS THERE ANYTHING WRONG WITH HIM?

That's what my Lab mix and schnauzer did too! Chaos in the bathroom while I was finishing the lab, and then chaos all over the house when I opened the door!

I think it may be a way for them to get more water off and feel warm again. They certainly preferred zooming around to me using the bath towels on them.

He's obviously just having fun. He feels all refreshed and kooky after a bath. Nothing to worry about.
My mother-in-laws Pomeranian also goes silly after a bath. Just enjoy the show!

No, there is nothing wrong with your pet... For a dog, getting a warm bath is just like us going to get a massage... They feel refreshed and happy. It gives them a boost ... I groom pets for a living and most of the pets are very energetic and hyper when there owners arrive to get them... this is a normal thing... Take it as he is showing you his affection for a job well done...

No, my chihuahua does the same thing. She hates water, but she gets a major energy spike after a bath.
