When a job makes you that unhappy and depressed, start looking for another. I know you probably have to work, but change careers. Research and find a job that not only pays adequately but is also gratifying. DO NOT QUIT THIS JOB,UNLESS you have another one or know there will be some income coming in.,because that would really depress you. Get a degree on the Internet. What about Criminal Psychology? That is what I am going to do. Also, please remember that depression can occur at home , with plenty of money. CHANGE JOBS, but think it through very carefully. GOOD LUCK.

Bet your bippy it does. I'm currently on disability because of the anxiety and depression caused by my job and my supervisor. 20 years ago if anyone had told me this would be happening to me I would have laughed out loud. But here I am never the less. This has been an absoulutly awful year for me. I wouldn't wish this on anyone. My therapist and I are working on finding an antidepressant that will work better than what I'm currently on. I am sick and tired of being sick and tired. the pain and fatigue and the general lack of interest in mostly everything makes me feel hopeless and helpless at times. Wish me luck I'm going back to the therapist today. Oh and get this! My medical insurance informed me last month that I have reached my lifetime limit for mental health visits so from now on everything is out of pocket for me. Right like clinical depression can be fixed in 25 visits or less per lifetime. I hate insurance companies when they pull this crap. Thank you Blue Cross/Blue Shield!

Yes it did. Because you can't turn depression off like a water faucett. I left that job eventually and had to remain on anti-depressants for awhile but before long I was my old self again. That job paid very well, but I decided it was not worth it. It almost cost me my life.
