We have been friends for 6 years. And we go to the same church. But when were at school she acts different then when she's at church, or when we hand out. At school she's popular. ANd she hangs out with the wrong people. and she's drifting away from the Lord. And i just don't know what to do. I've been praying for her. But nothing seems to be happening. What should i do?

You are worried about someone who seems to prefer to live in the real world, rather than the superstitious delusional world of religion. Stop worrying about her and concern yourself with the fact that in your tiny reality, your religion has as it's stated and ultimate goal, THE END OF THE WORLD.

It is very distressing to see someone we care about "go the wrong way" despite all our efforts and prayers. We cannot force or compell anyone to see things the way we do. Sometimes the best thing to do is do nothing but continue to pray and trust that truly we are all in God's hands. God may be in the process of teaching your friend a lesson about life and faith and all that and teaching you also to trust Him. Just continue to pray and try to be the best example you can be for your freind.

Let her do her own thing... and what do you mean she is drifting away from the lord? Sounds to me like she has found a life, and just because she might not go to church as often or whatever doesn't mean she is losing faith, it means she is expieriencing life. I don't know what religion you are, but who are you to judge her and her clique and label them bad people? what do they do that is so bad? It sounds to me like you are jelouse of your friend, and I think that is a sin in some religions.

There are some good suggestions here... prayer, and talk. Also ask her if she believes Heaven and Hell are real. Then remind her of the scripture that at judgment that not everyone that says "Lord, Lord" will be saved.. He will say " depart from Me.. I never knew you..". I believe this scripture helps show one can lose (walk away from) salvation.

because God may be trying to teach YOU something. Ya know?

I know you can't imagine that---but when He does decide to answer your prayer--it may be a totally different answer than you would like. He may be needing to separate you and her--so she can see you are staying in church.
You know God can use you in a very powerful way!

Your prayer has been heard--rest assured.

God can't work on it , if you're still holding on to it.

Show her in the bible what Jesus says about hypocrisy.

If you attend Rick Warren's saddleback church, then she came by it honest. He too is a hypocrite and in the pulpit also.

Well you can pray harder. Beat her over the head. Or just give yourself and herself to god - she will find her own path.
