No! Getting a girlfriend or boyfriend's name tattooed on your body is a worse idea than cutting off a body part. Dates, boyfriends and girlfriends come and go. The relationship more often than not will not last. Don't even put your spouse's name in ink on your body if you ever get married.

Always a bad idea.
When you meet the woman of your dreams and ask "Laura" to marry you, she isn't going to be happy to find "Sylvia" tattooed on your body!
And don't going getting "Laura" tattooed on your body either. Because when you get divorced years later and finally meet your true soul mate, "Jan" isn't going to appreciate staring at the name "Laura" while making love to you.

well, it depends on how long the two of you have been together, and how much love is in the relationship. remember, tattoos are permenant unless you have it lasered, but why go through all of that? tell her to tatoo your name on her also

unless you are planning on having other girlfriends with the same name!
it's a horrible idea, if you two broke up you'll have difficulties explaining to your next girlfriend or you'll be full of girls name on your body!
