I did read it years ago . It was ,I think , Victor Mature in the movie, I like Charlton Heston . "Wither goeth thou ?" is a more correct translation.

Saw the movie, 1952. Good film. Going back to bed; too early to be up.

No. The fact that Charlton Heston was in the film put me off. If I had read the book, I would have had his nauseous face in my mind the whole time.
