is it possible to touch up a tattoo that is always raised without making it blur? if a tattoo is always raised does it make it harder for the tattooist to do touch ups ? and if a tattoo is always raised , is it more likely to blur more in the future , more than one that wasnt raised ? thanks heaps for your answers :)

well i do tattoos and if your tat is raised then that artist went to deep and has scared you. you can get something done to it but it all depends on how bad it is. you should get minimal work done to it or none at all. before i did tats on myself i went to someone and i got a scared tat, and its blurred. the lower and deeper the ink is in you skin the more it will be blurred. the int should only pass the two layers of your skin. but good luck hope i helped you.

Its absolutly fine for it to be raised... it doesnt matter, its not a bad tattoo or anything it just means the artist pressed a little too hard when they did it, the one going all the way down my spine is raised all the way, Ive had it touched up three times, It was done by one of the Top Rated Tattoo artist's in the Country, he is world renouned for the work that he does (www.sweetbabyoctane.com) Yes you can get it touched up, it wont fade, any good tattoo artist can do it no problem, it wont blur.... but i have to ask, what are you getting touched up? is it somthing simple or somthing complex?

As with most facets of the tattoo, it all depends on how good the artist is. As far as it being raised, sounds like you may have a reaction to a certain brand of ink or the use of outdated or old ink if in fact ink has a shelf life.

A tattoo should never be raised. Therefore, it should not be worked on. It is either badly scarred or you are having some sort of reaction.

i think the reason the tattoo is raised is because your skin is scarred. i have a few places on my tattoos that are scarred. possibly from the tattoo being done too deep? i don't know but i haven't noticed any blurring.

If it's raised it means it wasn't done right and you have scarring as for blurring and touching it up, it depends mostly on how much detail there is, the more fine details there are the more chance it is of messing up and same thing with how it ages. More detail, more chance of distortion plain and simple. Good luck.

It can be done but make sure you pick something meaningful and something that you won't get tired of just remember a tattoo is permanent.
