Jehovah; he is the Most High God. He is the Creator of the Universe. He is the one who gave life and "all authority in heaven and earth" to Jesus Christ. Wouldn't that make Him the greatest Person in the Bible? Ps. 83:18; John 5:26; Matt. 28:18

Next to Jesus, my "favorite" character in the Bible is Jonathan, the son of King Saul. Although the "crown prince," Jonathan never begrudged God's choice of David to be the next king. He never asked, "what's wrong with me - why didn't God choose me?" Instead, we find that Jonathan not only accepted God's choice (David), he loved him and protected him from his deranged and jealous father (Saul). I beleive Jonathan's character is a model for us of courage, faith, humility, love, loyalty and selflessness.

Ahab.
He was a classic larger than life. His heroic struggle to pursue evil and destroy it has no parallel in ancient or modern writings. The tragedy that he was destroyed himself in the just cause is only balanced by the fact that his adversary was destroyed as well. He succeeded in sending the great white whale to its doom.
