give him olive oil down his throat. could be that his intenstines might be impacted. not from the chicken bones as such.
could also be that the bone as become lodged in his esophagus (swallow pipe). if he cant or wont eat, take him to the vet.
if the problem persist, take him to the vet anyhow.
check his feces, if there is any blood in it, take him to the vet immediatly.
maybe feel his tummy. if he reacts in pain when you touch him on his abdomen, you know that is the problem.
also, in big chested dogs, the stomack may turn. that is fatal if not attended to immediatly.
good luck.

Any cooked bones can be dangerous to dogs. Especially poultry and pork bones as they tend to splinter easier than others. Choking is a concern but the greatest concern is one not evident to you. It is when a bone lodges or tears part of the intestinal track which could cause the dog to bleed to death internally. By the time you realize there is a problem it is usually too late. Raw bones are better but can also splinter. Contrary to popular belief bones have NO NUTRITIONAL value to a dog so why bother taking the chance. There are other alternatives to give your dog to chew on or snack on. Believe it or not dogs like to snack on vegies and this is far more beneficial to him than a bone. Good luck

Cooked chicken bones and any other cooked bones can splinter when the dog eats them. Get the dog to the vet and have him checked out cause if a bone splintered YES it can kill it.

Can you tell where he's sore? Throat, stomach, bowels or anus?First chance you get, call a vet and tell them if the bones were raw or cooked. One way is OK for dogs to eat the other isn't. Sorry can't remember which. Check your phone book for 24 hour emergency clinics. They may be able to assist over the phone as well.
Good luck. Hopefully he's just got wind!!

Chances are you don't have a problem. Usually the bones get stuck in the throat and you know it immediately. You might be making your dog nervous by checking on him all the time.

He's probably just dreaming of flying. Has he grown any wings yet.... Just kidding... chickens don't fly.
Well, he could have one caught in his throat. If he doesn't appear to be uncomfortable in the throat area, you are likely just being paranoid.
If that is the case, either you need to get it out or take him to the vet.

It is true that chicken bones are pointy and can pierce his stomach or intestines. The best thing to do is have an Xray done, so that you can be sure.
