You can definitely change the location where Limewire saves the files.
I am myself using Limewire 4.1 Version. Do the following to change the location:
In Limewire, Click on Tools ->Options ->Saving
Change the Location of the default Folder to the location you want to use.
Hope that answers the question

1 DON'T use Limewire... It has malware and adware attached unless you get the pro version and I assume you are not about to pay for Limewire as you are not prepared to pay for your music downloads, like many other. (I am not being critical just stating a fact)
If you must you simply enter preferences and select TWO folders. one for incomplete and one for completed downloads. Oh course you can designate them to be you own music folder.
Better still use a torrent program and also run PEER GUARDIAN or another P2P security program if you must Pirate music. It is a safer option and may save you from prosecution. Not that I advocate the pirating of music at all....

Shared means the items saved in that folder can be access to anybody around the world using limewire, as basically this is a file sharing software. You can monitor this by clicking on the monitor button on limewire. You can just copy the item and paste it where ever you want to save it.

all and sundry's doing it and that i do no longer understand each physique who has ever gotten in hardship. If it replaced into relatively unlawful then it may be shutdown. they got here upon a loophole someplace. in case you experience responsible, only pay the nineteen dollars for the pro version. And so a techniques as getting over excited who cares how many songs? I honestly have downloaded 500 in an afternoon. And a tip in case you do no longer go away them in a share folder human beings won't enable you to get carry of from them. in case you do no longer share it is not honest. If all and sundry hid their records there does no longer be something to get carry of.

I think thats where they are meant to go, mine do the same. I made some new folders to sort out all my music leaving the shared one for new downloads only. then I put them where I want.
