she doesn't want to listen. We live in a neighbourhood that once was decent, but is now gone to druggies on the left and right of us.. I am waiting for spring so I will move out of this neighbourhood.. I wonder why she is acting like this when I raised her properly, but on the other hand, as a child she has always been hard headed. My automatamatom is straighten up or I will have to walk away. It hurts very much, because it is my children. She says she is not doing anything, but I have seen many questionable evidences.

It is not your fault and it does not matter where you live. I have a 21 yr old daughter and she was raised right. I also have a 24 yr old son. They both have gone through this stage. For some reason 21 is a magic age they think. My daughter is going through it now and it is not fun. You say a prayer for them and believe for the best! Good luck

She's young, and now a legal adult, and is trying to discover what that new freedom involves. All you can do is let her know that you love her, no matter what. In a couple of years, she'll start to settle down. Right now, she's going through her "wild" phase, and it is a phase; my kids went through it too. Usually, they do outgrow it, and hanging out gets old. You may have to make her move out, but don't feel guilty if it comes to that. My rule was, if you want to live in my house, then you live by my rules, if not, then you can move out.

Teenagers, worldwide are getting strange & strange by the day. The fault in not much in parenting but in crumbling morality around us. Media, movies etc add to the dismay.
Try to have a sit down chat explaining that her/his actions are hurting people who care deep & try to involve a friend/relative to whom the 21 yr old is close to.
Parents have to endlessely work on it rather that walk away forr the simple fact that we are parents.
