I have a huge sudden urge to eat immediately after I wake up from a nap or in the middle of the night. I don't have this craving when I wake up come morning time. In other words, I may wake up in the middle of the night and my body is craving something to eat or drink and in a very fast period of time I intake a lot of food/drink...I am wondering why this is. I don't have any eating disorders or an unhealthy diet. It's just something peculiar that's been going on with my body recently...

I think your blood sugar probably drops and maybe you should eat before you take a nap...or go to bed...and you probably won't wake up hungry...sometimes though, after a nice rest..it is good to eat..you body must need nourishment, and so you aren't doing anything wrong...enjoy...cold pizza always tastes especially good at the wee hours of the morning lol

Yes. Something is happening with your body. Because body metabolism is increased during sleep. And since your body is in a relaxed mode, it can concentrate on fixing yourself. And when it does, it uses a lot of sugar and water in the process. Your brain triggers that you lack food and you suddenly wakes up in the middle of the night to eat and drink.

I have same problem, with exception I don't eat much...but it seems like if I eat before sleep, I wake up hungry...& if I don't eat before sleep...not hungry....I know we all have different metabolisms, and maybe that is it. All i can say is when i wake up starving i SLAM A DIET-COKE!!!! My doc. keeps telling me NOOOO.....drink reg. pop as I need the weight! good luck!

well it happnd like ttat to my frnd also
there must have been irregular eating sleeping habits for u
try to make a timetable when to eat and when to sleep and try following that ; my frnd is doin tat
try and see am sure it will work
