Okay...here are my problems with Firefox!

1) Firefox loads slightly slower than IE7. The difference is that when it opens up the window it shows something immediately. IE7 the frame opens up and then 3 or 4 seconds later the webpage displays. Firefox the frame opens after 5 or 6 seconds so it really evens out. It SEEMS like Firefox loads faster but they are really actually almost equal.

2) I was trying to watch AOL movies, to watch it I needed to download some plug-in (you don't have to do this in IE7). I click on the download plug-in and then FIREFOX comes up and says "Firefox has blocked this site from asking you to install a Plug-in." I look around and try to figure out how to install the plug-in but I can't find any "install Plug-in" button besides the one I already clicked which brought up that message.

3) Firefox doesn't look as streamlined as IE7. With IE7 you just click that little section to the right of a tab to open a new tab. In FF you have to use a keyboard shortcut or go to the file menu to do that.

I don't hate firefox, I just hate these little things FF does...I think IE7 is easier to use and it looks better. There is an easy way to magnify the screen, everything is right there on a button. The layout looks great.

You don't need to know anything special to use firefox except Ctrl. + T. This opens a new tab. Otherwise you'll hit the file menu trying to find that.

Hope this helped you

Hey check this out.
Firefox is the leader in a browsing software.
Though i know IE 7 has a larger market share. It doesn't mean it is the best. For example when you downloaded IE 7 and installed it, how much time did it take? In my comp it took about 30mins. where as Firefox needs only 2 to 3 minutes. IE 7 is a big failure. The reason that it has a large market share is the lack of awareness. IF you don not believe what i am saying check the reviews of both the browsers at download.com. The only thing IE 7 competes with firefox is it looks. You can add themes to Firefox where as you cannot for IE 7. Why don't you try is yourself. Another important thing IE7 has a lot of bugs and also has many loop holes. Take my advice and upgrade to IE 7 now.

I have been using one form of Firefox or another for many years. When you install Firefox, you can still use Internet Explorer. You can even use both at the same time.
Firefox has the advantage over IE, in that if you don't like it, you can uninstall it. IE is a permanent fixture.

Firefox is out of Beta. It is in Version 2.

Firefox is inherently safer from attacks. It IS FASTER than IE 7 and the look and feel of it when you get used to it are OK. Traditionalists will stick with IE 7 /8 /9 or whatever because that is how the perceive a browser to be. Try Firefox or Opera or even Maxthon they are all better than IE

IE7 is awful!!! Good to hear you are switiching to firefox. You will need to transfer your favourites over...but it does this automatically for you anyway, abd you can still use both ie and firefox on your machine.

Just download it and have fun

Its out of beta i think but its open source so is always being added to. Remember that you can download a million different add ons...so if it doesn;t do sometihng you liked in IE you can download the addon that will add this functionality

Reasons Firefox kicks IE7's ****:

1: No massive download and updating of settings.

2: No restarting of system.

3: Still much faster and with the extension fasterfox it is faster still.

4: Adblock and flashblock means you never have to see another add again!

5: Completely customisable to your needs.

The only problem you may encounter is surveys tend not to be set up for FF. However, as others have said you can view IE pages using the add on IE view.

Yes, Firefox is out of Beta testing, and has been for a long time. Really, the only thing you should know about it is that is has tabbed browsing which makes it a lot easier to use than Internet Explorer, and has a built in popup blocker, and you can add stuff to it, like adblocker, or Foxytunes if you like listening to music while surfing the net. You can add themes to it, which means you can dress up the browser window and make it look cool. That's really all I can think of. As as for security, it is very secure. It downloads to a remote quadrant of your hard drive, which means it's a lot harder for a hacker to take over your computer through the internet.

I use firefox more than netscape or IE, its a mix between the two anyway lol. I have up dated my system and no problems that I see other than a few time they updated firefox and I lost my bookmarks. So always save book marks in a folder so you can go back and import them back on

Yes its out of beta, its now on version 2.
http://www.mozilla.com/ Firefox web browser
Check out the Mozilla site, look at the extensions and themes and search for the AdBlocker, it really speeds up your connection.

You can also export your bookmarks as an html text file to back them up. Click bookmarks - manage/organise bookmarks - file - export.
