Yes Betty, you are right. The word Homosexual does not appear in the bible, although there are references against Sodomy (havng sex with an object or animal) and no it did not say if having sex with an object is permissible within the confines of marriage. It also has references that implies that homosexual is wrong and is a sin although the bible did not explicitly say the word "homosexual". What are the bible references? I have listed some below.
Romans 1:26 -
Talks about passion. Vile paasion. Shows that God is displease. Woman leave the natural use for what is against nature.
(no, it did not explicitly say that it is a sin and no it did not say lesbian. However it did imply that and anyone can easily justify it as well. So there is no point in debating. To each his own coviction.)
Roman 1:27 -
Talks about men who leave the natural use of woman and burned in their lust for one another..... men with men.... commiting what is shameful.
(again the word homosexual is not here but this verse implies that unless maybe the natural use of woman is to clean the household and burned in their lust would probably mean admiring the muscular physical biology of each other and maybe the men all get together and rape a girl,,,, so that is a shameful act.. like i said, it could be easily justify if the person want to)
Other verses you can look up
Leviticus 18:22
Leviticus 20:13
Below is an article on the bible and homosexual. Hope it helps you betty.

Actually, the Bible does say almost exactly that, i.e. "...men with men and women with women, doing that which is not right in the eyes of God..." It also says "...let each man have his own wife, and each woman have her own husband." If each woman is to have her own husband, and faithfulness is mandatory (read the ten commandments), then reason dictates that sex between two women, since the Word does not allow provision for same-sex marriage, is forbidden.
Hope that helps.
Oops! Scotto just answered much better than I, and right on the money! Read his answer; mine is just a humble ditto.

Yes the Bible forbids it, Read Romans 1:24-32 Read mainly Verse 26:For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections, for even women did change the natural use into that which is against nature, You can also read 2nd Timothy 3:1-7 & read 2nd Peter 2:12

Rom 1:26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
Rom 1:27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
If you look at verse 26 ""women did change the natrual use" which was first established in Gen 2
Gen 2:18 And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
Gen 2:21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;
Gen 2:22 And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.
Gen 2:23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.
Gen 2:24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

No, it isn't mentioned. It seems odd that these Christians are skirting round the obvious explanation. Lesbianism is not mentioned in the Bible because such a thing was completely unheard of back then. Women in those days were too busy being men's slaves to even think about having sex with each other.

It's not allowed in the bible or in the church. In the times of Jesus I don't even think, but i'm not sure that men did even have sex with other men. It was only later that women had sex with women. Also I belive beki117. Jesus and God uses that expression in the Bible all the time, like in Genisis 1:3 or Genisis 1:5 he says that he created man, what he means is that he created man and woman.

Yes it does. Paul talks many times in the NT against it. The word homosexual refers to two people of the same gender, not strictly men.

Absolutely
Check out 1st Corinthians 6:9 NIV
"9Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders "
Notice it says "homosexual offenders"......It doesn't say men or women so both are included

Yes, it is forbidden. Ref.-- Sodom and Gomorrah. God gave Abraham a chance to find fifty righteous people there and he couldn't, so God destroyed the city.

In the act referred to, the two have to be naked and see each others' shame. That is a good enough forbiddance that all Holy Books agree in denouncing.
