THe options to enable the sound device under ctrl panel are coming as disabled..

Check device mgr - if all are sound devices are working properly - go to start>control panel>admin tools>services - scroll down to Windows audio. Make sure it is set to Automatic and all dependant programs are enabled.
Under the recovery tab select "restart service" for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd failures.
Worked for me....

there are many things that can couse this problem:
1. you dont have a soundcard. solusion: by one!
2. your soundcard doesn't have its driver installed properly, or the driver is broken or you haven't install the driver. solusion: re/install your soundcard driver
3. your soundcard doesn't plugged to your computer properly. solusion: replug your soundcard to the slot and make sure.
4. your soundcard is damaged. solusion: by a new one
