I have gone through a lot this year friends familys guys and it was all bad things to well now i have changed better friends good realtionship with family and now i am in love with my best friend [brett] and i have just changed for the better like i am a new person like reborn again i believe in god more than ever so i want a tattoo to express that but i have no clue what to do for it please let me know thank you

i would suggest thinking about something that means a lot to you. don't necessarily get something that is supposed to mean this or that. get something that is close to your heart. and congratulations on love and your life turning around!!!
also research the tattoo artists, go to someone who is reputable and talented. not everybody who tattoos is a good tattooer. good luck!!
also, don't listen to these people who say not to get a tattoo. i don't even know why they come to the tattoo forums. i have had tattoos for 8 years now and don't regret having them. i can't imagine not having a tattoo.

pheonixes and butterflies are all really overused transtion/change tattoos. i would suggest, if you want to be an individual, a swan. remember the childhood story "the ugly duckling"? well, you went through bad things and came out as a beautiful woman, like the duckling turned into a beautiful swan. it could be a really beautiful tattoo, with water and lily pads. use google images to find an image to show the tattoo artist when you decide what you'd like to do.

Butterflies are very over-done.
Take your time and REALLY think about what you want.
And for the love of everything that is good and holy, do not get a tattoo because of some guy, even if you are "in love."

I opted for a Phoenix 10 years ago. I also went through a lot of life changes.
But as with any tattoo it should be something thought about. Nothing rushed into.
Think on it. Decide if this is really what you want.

I think the best thing to do is to decide you want a tatoo. Then decide what you like. and then go to the shop and choose something. if you think about it too much, or put meaning behind it, the situation might change and then you wount like it any more.
My tatoo means bugger all and i dont associate it with anything, so i dont have any bad memories or anything with it. its just pritty. Like a beauty spot. its just there to look nice.

Do yourself a favor a don't get one you'll regret it later on when you get older. If you really want one done, get it somewhere you won't have to look at it every minute. On your back for example. Also don't get a colored one, they are old fashion and look tacky, especially on a girl.

i would say that a bitterfly would symbolise a new beggining... they are pretty and also feminine.. hope i have helped... REMEMBER - choose it wiseley as you are stuck with it for life.
