The Scrolls show the Bible is accurate. The Bible is not 100% accurate but, there are some things to take into consideration before declaring the Bible an invalid source to believe in.
There are some problems with the Bible and errors. Please remember, the Old Testament was passed down by oral tradition before the technology of writing was available. Compared to the Quran which existed long after the technology for writing was invented. So, yes there are errors.
Secondly, there are different ways to interpret based upon the "literary forms" of writers. Depending whether it is in a historical context, prophetic, poetry, or some other type of literary form. I believe Jesus Christ IS THE WORD of God. The Bible is written by people inspired by God.
If you took a Bible course and discovered what SCRIPTURAL TYPOLOGY is you would be amazed. If you knew what SALVATION HISTORY was in the Bible you would understand. If you recognized DIVINE AUTHORITY you would know that there has to be

someone in authority to reveal the "secret" truths God has given. If you research all those phrases you will begin a journey of discovery that will last a life time.
We have a saying in Catholicism: the New Testament is hidden in the Old and the Old is revealed in the New. There are many mysteries contained in the Bible that I have been amazed at discovering for the past 20 years and there is a whole lot more. St. Jerome said: Ignorance of Scripture is ignorance of Christ. The whole Bible is about our SALVATION: Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ fulfilled over 300 prophesies in the Old Testament about the Messiah you can discover 50 of them in cd's IT IS WRITTEN.
WHEN YOU HAVE BEGUN TO DISCOVER THESE THINGS YOU WILL KNOW IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO HAVE BEEN WRITTEN BY MAN. Jesus (a historical figure along with others in the Bible that are not fictitional characters) by fulfilling just 50 prophesies makes the odds of doing that 10X135 power! An astronomical figure that could not have been

achieved by human means.
The thing that might shock you and others is that SATAN used scripture to tempt Jesus. So, too Satan will use scripture to trip us up from following the true faith. This is why there has to be DIVINE AUTHORITY that passes from the Old Testament to APOSTOLIC SUCCESSION in the New Testament. This is why someone cannot Authoritatively pick up a Bible and correctly interpret it nor can there be millions of interpretors to HOLY SCRIPTURE. There can only be one!

Mohammad could create a new religion that pandered to his every whim only if he said that, so he did it. He sold his soul to the devil as did Joseph Smith and other false prophets in the more recent past, in order to satisfy their own desires.
The different versions of the Bible in existence today is a poor excuse made by ignorant Muslims because we still have a true unchanged version in use among the mainline churches from the beginning.

To tell you the truth! the bible does not establish Divine Authority. Nor is it a perfect work, nor does it have all REVEALED truth. Nor can any library Contain the words of God. for the word of god cannot be bound
while Jesus is the word of God, that does not mean that the bible is Jesus christ.
The only thing I heard about the dead sea scrolls in proving accuracy is that the book of isaiah seemed to be the same. However, there are many Ancient manuscripts out there that should be considered as well, to help verify what the bible loses in traditions and history and interpretations

First:
Muslims do not totally reject the Bible. It is one of the Six Articles of Faith in Islam that says Muslims should believe in the holy scriptures including the Bible.
What Islam teaches is that the final revelation is the Holy Quran. Islam also teaches that most part of the Bible has been altered. That is why one of the reasons the Holy Quran was revealed is to replace the Bible.
Second:
If I am not mistaken, the Dead Sea Scrolls proves that Bible and the Old Testament exist. (Please note: Muslims from the time of prophet Muhammad until now believe that Bible and Old Testament exist).
What the Dead Sea Scroll also prove is that there are many versions of Bible. If you read books about the finding of Dead Sea Scroll, the scroll itself is different from the contents of the present Bible.
Hence, I believe that it is wrong to say that the Dead Sea Scroll is the prove that the Bible is accurate.
Please understand that Islam never teaches Muslims to hate Christians. What Islam teaches (among others) is that many teachings of the present Christian religion have deviated from the old true teachings of Jesus.
For example, in one of the 10 Commandments, it teaches it's followers to believe in only ONE GOD. But now, certain sects of Christian religion believe in Trinity.

I can't answer for Muslims - or anyone except myself.
What you, and a lot of posters seem to be failing to consider is that modern "Christianity" derives a great deal from the letters of Paul - not the words of Christ. Much of what I find unacceptable about Christian teaching comes from the letters - not the gospels.
I am automatically wary of anyone who scatters capitalized words throughout their texts - just as I can not take seriously the TV evangelists who shout and scream. It seems to me that they are trying too hard to overcome their own doubts.
Would you care to comment on the Dead Sea scrolls that have been suppressed by the Vatican?

WOW, even with the proof of the dead sea scrolls that the word of G-d has not changed in 2,000 years it still is not good enough for them!! Remember that the muslims are from the illegitimate son; they have been an angry people since Father Abraham sent Ismael away. and mr. use your brain, you can now view it on the internet.

Very Interesting read there. I really enjoyed the information you took time to write. I agree 100% the bible is God's word written by men who was inspired by God. Also Jesus quoted KJV and Satan quoted NIV. lol

Because the bible has been translated is an issue on contention to the muslims. Their view is that the Koran or Quran holds true because it has not been tranlated from arabic, al least translations are not offically recognised.
Each to their own. One day we will all find out who's right.

I have no idea who altered it, although it is irrelevant. The centre of argument is: why do we think is is altered. Because it contradicts with the Quran. You can't blame us for believing in our Holy Book, which say (God say):
1) He has no son.
2) Jesus was not crucified, but lifted alive.
3) No such thing as a Trinity.

I'm not Muslim, but the Dead Sea Scrolls show that the Bible was totally different in it's infancy. The 10 commandments were much longer and the word SIMPLICITY was on every page. Honor thy Mother(earth) and thy Father(God) is whom the Essenes were referring to back then.
