what is a Poker BOT and how do they work? or how are they suppose to work?

It's software that uses a logarithm to choose the optimum move just like chess etc. software. At present they can't beat the better human players, they are just too predictable. At the University of Alberta they are working on a poker "Deep Blue" that can anticipate a bluff or make a bluff, etc. that should be able to wear down any human opponent.
