Over two years ago I bleached my hair to platinum blond (big mistake) and all the blond is out now and I dont have any hair coloring in my hair what so ever just my natural color. Anyways my hair just dosent seem to be as thick as it was before coloring it. Espescailly on the top its just like thinner or something. I still have alot of hair just not as much now (it seems like). Or could it just be my imagination? If it is true will it grow back thicker or is there something I can do to make it grow in thicker again?

Bleaching can make your hair very brittle and weak. I use to get my hair bleached then colored since my natural color is jet black and very hard to color. That process damaged my hair badly!! If I were you, I would go to a professional and have them recommend a better way of lightening your hair. Also, start drinking lots of water and take multi-vitamins in addition to biotin and a multi-vitamin especially for hair like the one I take from GNC. Biotin helps support the matrix of hair.

Bleaching your hair does not make ur hair fall out! If anything it should help the growth of your hair. When you bleach your hair it cleans away all of the sebum that is collected on your scalp, which blocks the growth of new hair. I'd say that you probably feel like you hair is thinner because when a persons hair is bleached it creates the illusion of thicker hair as the hair is stripped of all pigments making the hair look fuller, due to the fact that the hair isn't displaying any tone/colour. If your are looking at photos of you in the past and thinking that your hair looks thicker, it was. As we age our hair doesn't contain the same amount of hormones as we grow at a slower rate. So your hair would look thinner, but you would still have the same amount of hair follicles! To help strengthen your new hair growth use the "Paul Mitchell" super strong category!

The same thing happened to me, bleaching your hair can be okay but if you do not take care or it, it will break off and get damaged. Dying your hair you must remember to keep your scalp moisturized. If not you wont have any . Or if you dyed it once a month it may have gotten over processed, and chemically damaged. If you want it to grow back thicker i'm not sure what to tell you because i do not know the texture of your hair, but no more dye.

It's highly possible that the bleach is responsible for the change in your hair. Bleaching it strips your scalp of so much nutrients that your hair needs to grow in thick and shiny and healthy. I would recommend to use horse hair shampoo it will build up your hair to be very full again. And, i'd also recommend Pantene Pro-V they have a whole line dedicated to repairing damaged hair, you should really check out the products. Good luck! ♥

If you only did it the once then I doubt you have done too much damage, whereas if you continuously bleach it then it does start to break off especially if it is long hair. I would probably go to my hairdresser and get them to perhaps cut it in a way to look thicker and to recommend hair thickening products but I'm sure it is your imagination. I did the same thing to when I was worrying my parting was getting bigger !!

it can make your hair fall out or stop growing. Any dying process can do this not just bleaching. a friend of mine has naturally blond hair and after years of dying it she no longer has to, her hair has stopped growing so it stays brown. Her hair is thinning and she will eventually be bald. She has tried everything and nothing has worked so she is planning on rocking a smooth head. You could be imagining this, females tend to obsess about anything and everything. I use to think my hair was thinning and I had the hair that fell out to prove it! Turns out it was just normal hair loss and my hair grows fairly quickly...ha ha oops. Chances are bleaching it once isn't going to damage your hair to the point of no return. Wait a bit, maybe even years and it should return. Lastly stop screwing with your hair!

Do not use Pantene hair products, It's main ingredient is wax...how is wax going to help this? Yeah it won't it will probably make it worse.

You are getting older, and hair does tend to thin out, even if you ae a female. Ever seen those old grannys with whispy hair? But also likely you put the bleach on your scalp (mistake) and it dammaged you folicals.

Eventually, yes, I suppose.

When I was in college in the late 80's, I used to spray my spikes twice a day. The effect? My hair started to grow thin after about three years. To think that balding isn't in our blood.

So the same could be said of bleaches.

Its sounds to me that the bleach weakened your hair babe, and it's split, so it looks thinner.
Your hair will get back to the way it was, but you will need to get your hair cut to help with that

i hope that I have helped
