Am I searching for the impossible? Should I settle for lust?

True love have to withstand the test of time...
One night stand, 1-12 month relationship, and 2-4 years relationship are not True Love...
True Love is when you grow old with your lover into the retirement age...

Ok, first, true love doesn't just happen. But it does exist! I think we fall in Lust too quickly, and that is why most relationships don't work out.

I think that true love starts with a friendship. Your lover must also BE your best friend. One must bear in mind that as we get older, for alot of couples, the lust isn't there anymore. Then what do you have? If you have your best friend next to you until you are old and retired, you will at least have companionship, trust, love, respect and conversation, even when there is no longer the need or desire for sex. There you go : True Love.

Friendships are known to last the test of time, so surely this is in actual fact "True Love!" So no - don't settle for lust because it won't last! Settle for a best friend - and experience the meaning of True Love with your partner ! I think you may find that True Love and your Soul Mate walk hand in hand.

True love is different for everyone. And everyone finds true love in different ways. You will know it when you can't sleep, eat, think of nothing but that person.
I found true love by just letting it happen. I mean, I quit looking for it so hard. When love comes around for you, it will smack ya in the face so hard you won't be able to do anything.
Never settle for lust. It doesn't get you any where. But maybe something you don't want to catch.
The point is, quit trying so hard to find true love. It will find you. Believe it or not but its true. I was in the same boat as you and finally I just gave up on love all together. And wham!!! it hit me so hard that I wasn't expecting it.
So just be patient and love will find you.

Love is everlasting and beautiful. Lust is a moment of desire.

Love can not be understood. It can make u a happy being or a soulless shell in a night. You will never know love until you feel it.

I am in love with a girl. But she has no feeling for me. This feeling is awfully painful. I am writing my story in my blog: http://www.lovemakingdiary.blogspot.com/

I am not sure when I will stop my courtship. But when I stop, I hope it is a happy ending. And i guess it can be very romantic to present my blog to her if i really win her heart.

Yah.. the feeling of being rejected is bad. But I am still trying. I guess this is Love. Sometime that I cant understand but can only feel it... Love

True love isn't about how long the relationship lasts it's how good the relationship is. If the relationship is really good it will last till retirment(hopefully) I don't have a story to share w/ you because I'm still looking for my own true love.

NO baby!! NEVER settle!! The trouble with most people is that they DO settle. For fear of being alone, or thinking they won't meet anyone else, or a list of pathetic reasons!! They stay too long and miss their chance of the real thing. It really does exist, have fun until you find it!!

My parents met in a bar and were married six months later. They have been married 47 years now, and they still hold hands and kiss each other and their love is very apparent.

I suggest you visit a local retirement home and ask there. I am sure you will get several volunteers to tell many hours of engrossing stories.
