I am not sure about his goal. I don't like what Pope is doing, especially there way of living. When millions of people are not able to get a piece of bread, Pope and his crew are residing in luxurious palace and I wonder because they are doing it in the name of Jesus Christ.

Yes its good. Its all about the EU. The pope mission is to get muslims to be more accepting of other religions inclined Judaism. The law in turkey speaking against the prophet mudbath is a crime. If you try to spread a different religion you are breaking the law. If muslims cant change this they will never be able to function in the EU. Turkey is a large muslim country thats a bridge to islam. The truth is i think EU would be foolish to accept turkey as member. Turkey is moderate since it is not a islamic state however there is massive pro islamic state movement which is harmful.

The Pope is going to Turkey for three main reasons:
+ A pastoral journey to the Catholic Church in Turkey, with its various ritual expressions (Latin, Armenian Catholic, Syrian Catholic, Chaldean).
+ An ecumenical journey to the Eastern Orthodox Church with a meeting of prayer and dialog with the Patriarch, His Holiness Bartholomew I.
+ A journey of interreligious dialog with Islam, the predominant religion in Turkey.
With love in Christ.

the pope has no goal of his own. he's ....you can say a servant of the, bush administration, whatever he says from the pulpit., is all preplanned & organised by the bush administration,
he expects that from his speeches he can make islam inferior.that he can change the ideology of the people towards islam.he is a pope only for namesake.
and now whaen he comes to turkey, he will make some more blunders.& give more criticising speeches against islam.

He is trying to do what he thinks people want him to do. But as someone who has studied his history he should know that there is only three ways to make a traditional Muslim happy.
1 pay the jizza, and become a second class citizen.
2 convert to Islam
3 lose his head (literally)
But politically correct people and modernized Muslims will never believe it so he is trying to play nice.
BTW I am not a Catholic, and not all people who live in Turkey are judgemental jerks, I used to live there, so I know.

He is in Turkey to visit the Orthodox Christians living there and to talk to the leaders of the Orthodox Church. Everything isn't about stupid muslims.

I think it is not going to help at all. The Turkish Muslims care nothing about Christianity. So I don't think it will make any change. And it sad.
