If it continues, I would either go back to your doctor or to another one for a second opinion. It can be related to low blood pressure or blood loss. It can also be caused by other more serious troubles too. Your doctor can help sort this all out.

I don't know your age but, please check your blood pressure.
I was doing the same thing...not totally fainting but light headed, severe head spinning and almost blacking out.
I'd go to the doctor and my b.p. would be fine.
I finally did some online medical checking and decided to
get my own b.p. machine as my home life is very stressful.
[dealing with senior grandparents] My b.p. was out of control
at home and causing the dizzy spells. When I would go to the
doctor's office and would sit and wait for an hour, my b.p. would go down in the relaxed environment. I took the b.p. tapes to the doctor who gave me b.p. meds and stopped the dizzy spells.

Hi Katie, You need to find another doctor. Sometimes if you have a problem with your heart, this will happen. You can have a problem with it, and not know. My oldest grandson had this something happen to him this summer. He was in his back yard, and just passed out.My daughter was out there when it happen, and rush him to the hospital. They found out that there was something wrong with his heart. He has to take somekind of medication now. So please see another doctor to be safe. A Friend.

If your doctor didn't run blood work on you find a doc that will. I never heard of a doctor telling someone that faints to JUST get some rest.
Get another opinion, please!

Did the doctor check your bloodwork to see if you are anemic? That's a possibility.
