The old question of "are there any good men left?"?

Why is it that women want good men to love, be supportive, and father their children in a respectful and Godly manner yet they only want to date men with a player attitude? I mean, I'm married but I've noticed my friends saying that if a guy isn't very active in going out all the time then he gets called boring. So do you actually want a guy who wants to go out all the time or do you want a guy who is more into the simple things in life and wants to start a family someday? I think that girls want their cake and eat it too. They want a "good man" but he has to have the bad boy image or his *** is out. For the most part you just can't have it both ways! Why do women do this?

I can only speak for myself and I like stability and loyalty. I am not interested in the bad boys and I do not find the exciting but more self promoting. If a woman wants both, do you want her? She is sending out a mixed message and who needs this kind of confusion? She may be confused herself. This is hardly a bases to establish a long term loving relationship never mind having kids. If you have a good woman she will appreciate the security that stability offers. I do. My guy I know will be there for me and has been through some dark times. I wouldn't trade him for an experiment, a quick buzz or Brad Pitt. Thank you.

Because they want their cake and eat it tooooooo.

They are just like the men, but not all men. What I mean by this is some men want to sow their wild oats. They want to party and have fun, but when it comes time to marry they want the so called nice girl. It is the same thing with some women they want the bad boy type until it is time to settle down, but sometime its to late, and all the good men are gone. Taken by the smart ones. isitdejav... is one of the smart ones.

Your idea of a good man is soooo far out there.

Women want a man they feel an attraction to, if they feel no attraction then a long lasting relationship cannot follow. If men stay home and don't go out then how are women supposed to meet them.

Probably it is in their nature and the reason why that in the history of the entire world, up to 100 yrs ago, no girl could get married with out their parents permission.

One of the more difficult questions. I feel that women almost always want to "change" the man they are with. Perhaps they take it as a challenge to get a man with a "player attitude" and then change him into a "good man...Godly manner." Perhaps, they want to "play" God???

You make a good point, I don't understand why.
Its like a man wants a decent woman, but he wants a trashy one on the side.
To me you can't have both, and better off with the decent one, which would be the boring one

Not all women are like this..... My husband and I really have a good time just staying home. :o) We like doing the same things and our outing involve nature!

don't know. I'm not a social butterfly, I like being home and would like a guy who appreciates home not someone who drinks and parties all night. That gets old after 25 y.o.
