When i was 9 i had little pimples all over my forehead. It stayed the same until I was 10. When i was 11 it spread all all over my chin, nose and 1/4 of my cheeks. It's so ugly and everyone else my age has completely clear skin. I have had numorous treatments and nothing has worked! And don't even mention proacvtiv, because my sister used it and it did nothing for her, and i'm allergic to Benzoyl Peroxide. I don't have my periods, and I know when i do it'll get much worse. That's one of the reasons why I really want to get rid of my acne now(Besides the itching and burning).

By the way, I have been drinking 8 glasses of water for three months and I have been eating fruit and vegetables only(and occasional meat) for three years and my acne just gets worse every week.

Severe acne often calls for a visit to the doctor.
Till then use astringent to keep your face clean, cut back on greasy foods, chocolate, and sodas, and double up on the water. Keeping a food/acne diary can also help you figgure out if it is food caused.

I'm sorry for your situation- but don't feel alone- we all go through it at some stage of our lives. Your friends may not have it now, but they may experience major eruptions when they hit the dreaded age of 15-16 - the time where people start looking at the opposite sex a lot more closer!

Improving your diet is important. Do drink more water (I used to have mild acne durimg my teens, and when I started drinking mineral water on a daily basis, it cleared my skin up within about a month). Ask your parents to buy a water filter or mineral water and drink as much as possible. Exercising regularly is also recommended, as is cutting out excess (or all) dairy and excess sugar (sugar doesn't cause spots directly, but if your liver is having to deal with all the junk you may be eating, you will be prone to breakouts).

A diet rich in fruits, vegetables, nuts and grains will help your skin with the healing process.

Don't overwash your face. You cannot wash spots off! If anything, aggravating the skin may cause scarring so be as gentle as possible. Keep your hair clean and off of your face and avoid touching your face, especially with unclean hands.

Make sure you get enough sleep and relax. Avoid wearing make-up (especially foundation) and do not use strong chemicals on your face unless you absolutely have to i.e. a doctor has recommended so.

I'm not sure what country you are in, but there's a skin ointment in this country available in health stores by a company called Potters that is for acne and pimples. It's a really thick yellowish white stiff substance (made with Tea tree and natural ingredients) but it dries spots out beautifully and acts like a slight concealer. Unlike other so-called spot and acne remedies, it's really soothing. Definitely recommended.

Good luck! Remember- exercise, good diet, lots of water, a good nights sleep are key to getting your body back on track.

There are many cheap and effective home remedies for acne. Tomato slices, turmeric, papaya juices and home made face packs will treat existing pimples and prevent further problems. More remedies at http://www.wellnesstalk.org/acne.html

Well... there's not much I can help you with, cause, honestly, I'm 17 and haven't had acne problems.

But I read that you should keep your hair out of your face... though you probably already know that.
