Akki Roti Recipe

Ingredients

Ground Rice powder - 1 glass
Onion - 1 no
Coriander leaves
Green chillies - 2 - 3 nos
Oil - 10 - 12 tsp
Salt - As reqd
Water - As reqd

Preparation Method
1)Cut onions, coriander leaves and green chillies into small pieces.

2)Add the above to the rice powder with salt and mix with water to make a dough.

3)Add oil to this in order to avoid getting stuck to the hands.

4)Apply oil on a polythene paper.

5)Make balls of the rice mix and spread one on the paper with your hand in the shape of rotis.

6)Heat oil in a pan.

7)Put the roti in it and cook with oil, just like normal dosa.

8)Repeat the procedure for the remaining dough.

Serve with tomato-onion chutney.

This can be had as a snack or as breakfast. It`s very crispy like onion vadas.

Rice flour 1 cup
Red chillies 2
Grated coconut 4 tbsp
Peanuts 1/4 cup
Salt
Jeera 1 tsp
Coriander few sprigs
Onion 1 diced
Water 1/2 cup
Oil 1/2 cup for greasing the pan

Method


Grind peanuts, coconut, red chillies and mix with other ingredients with enough water to make chapathi dough.
Take a small ball of dough and start pressing to the sides of kadai until it is even on all the sides (thin layer of dough around kadai), and make a hole in the center and put 1/2 tsp oil.
Keep it on the stove on Med-Hi for 5 to 10 min or until its lightly brown serve it hot with coconut chutney or pickle.
