I am shortly planning to visit swiss with my wife.
- Which is the cheapest airways operating from Mumbai to Swiss? Approximately how much it would be costing for return?
- Can someone recommend the hotels in Laussane, Interlaken, Zermatt and Zurich? Please provide the name of the hotel and the tariffs, it will be very useful
- Do you think going on my own (like me) is better than a packaged tour? Comments will be appreciated.

As far as I know, the airline Swiss offers direct flights at interesting rates, specially if booked a long time in advance. Otherwise you may use an internet "flight finder" to find cheap flights with or without a stop-over in Dubai or London or another large airport.

The biggest package organisation for Indians travelling to Europe is Kuoni (second link). Going on your own probably will cost you more (hotel rates, trips in Switzerland) plus there usually are some difficulties concerning food. In Switzerland it's not so easy to find food you are used to - and if, then at high price levels.

To find out more about Switzerland you might visit the third link - there you will find simply everything, directly or via related links.

I am not able to recommend hotels in the places mentioned - the rates are from CHF 120 per night and double room, unlimited to the top.

Anyway, Switzerland is a very expensive place - a warm meal for two persons without alcohol will cost you from CHF 60 in a normal restaurant, double in many restaurants with reputation, half in McDonald's.
