Hi, Take an antacid like Tums or Mylanta before going to bed or when you begin to feel your stomach rumble. Watch your diet and don't eat foods that cause gas until your stomach settles down. Broccoli, beans, brussel sprouts, cauliflower, onions, and peppers are a few gassy foods. I hope this helps you.

The immediate reaction would be to take simethicone or something like that to relieve the gas pain right now.
What is the source of gas? It is gas you ingest (pop, swallowed air with straws etc.) Gas that originates in the small intestine or gas that originates in the large intestine?
Do you notice a connection to gas being worse if you eat certain foods? The treatment is to cut back on eating of these foods or to try a treatment like Beano or Phazyme.
Have you had antibiotics recently? Especially important is to know if you have had a time where you had a series of different antibiotics to treat a disease: (eg Amoxicillin, Bactrim, Doxycycline) It is possible that you have an overgrowth of bacteria or yeast. The treatment for this would be supplementation with Lactobacillus tablets. You need to get ones that provide about 5billion CFU per tablet and take 2-3 per meal until symptoms subside. Some people need to take this for 3 months after the prescription is done.
Have you had a surgical procedure done recently? Colonoscopy can introduce bacterial infections like C.dificile.
The treatment of this is a prescription from the doctor once a culture and sensitivity is established. You may have to take several antibiotics at once to deal with this infection and some lactobacillus to deal with the side effects of this treatment.
Are you taking Lactobacillus and the symptoms get worse? The possiblity is that you have a bacterial infection with a "killer" gene. It seeks to kill other bacteria of different species in order for it to have more access to food. The toxin released by this bacterium can have significant effects on you.

Have you ever tried Phazyme? You can get it over the counter at just about any drug store. It helps with gas and bloating, and I've had great luck with it.
As far as long-term fixes, I'm not sure what to tell you - a change in diet or particular lifestyle, maybe?
Hope you feel better!

well, first off you may want to repost this in general health, as this isn't really a mental health issue. I dont' know what to say about this situation, other than you should consult with your doctor, they will take it seriously and help you figure out what's going on. Best of luck
