Curiously enough, omega-3 actually works according to the medical community. Omega-6 supplements will actually make it worse, and should be banned. Can't find anything that relates to omega-9 and lupus except the same quacks who hawk the toxic omega-6 include omega 9 too. I advise sticking with just omega-3.

As for recent research, they have found out more of what causes it:

Which isn't useful by itself but will help guide future treatments. Someday soon they may turn this knowledge into a real cure.

There is no over the counter cure for Lupus. Unfortunately, many many internet companies claim to have a wonder tonic that can cure anything. The truth is that Lupus patients must be extremely cautious about what they put into their bodies. Many OTC substances can cause dramatic changes in prescribed medications such as vitamin K decreasing the effectiveness of Warfarin (an anti clotting drug prescribed in Lupus patients who have Antiphospholipid Syndrome). Currently there is work underway to treat lupus genetically and also using genes to more accurately prescribe medications such as prednisone and plaqunil. The best thing you can do for you Lupus is to take care of yourself, relieve stress, take medications as prescribed and work closely with all of your doctors to help maintain your lifestyle. My wife was diagnosed with Lupus at 15 and is now 29. She has had her ups and downs but is doing very well. I wish you luck.
