Spiritualism is a belief in communicating with the spirits of the dead, and getting answers from them. It was immensely popular in the Victorian era and even today, I have heard of spiritualist churches.
If you happened to mean spirituality (those two are so alike and tend to get mixed up a lot) then this means just being a free thinker who believes that there's more to life than meets the eye - and prefers to find out for himself what it is.

a religion which believes in and practices the ability to converse with those who have passed away. it tenets are based on the list of gifts granted people as written in the book of corinthians, chapter 13. though a small group of individuals, each seperate church follows the same tenets, as does baptist, catholic, jewish, or any other religous belief system. there are two major groups thjayt i know of. the american spiritualist alliance based out of san antonio. and the federal spiritualist churches of america. i don't know where they are based out of.
there are other groups scatterted all over the us, but i can't tell you about them, other than one having a summer course each summer up north, and another in florida.
