He has agreed to cook for me. In fact I just found out that he has only started to learn how to cook. How do I let him know I appreciate his gesture? If I leave small notes for him in his working bag, what should I write? Any other suggestions?

Please him physically. Dont mean to sound crude. But i tell no lies.
For a man to go out of his way for you like that is a sure sign of love.
Flowers, chocolates and note in the gym bag are for the female portion of the species. Again- hate to sound crude.
