Muslims believe that the Quran is a direct utterance of Allah (God). Because God is infallible, one would expect the Quran to be infallible also. However, by examining the Quran, we are faced by many statements that go against the undisputed facts of science. It would be unacceptable if such errors were attributed to a learned human being, worse yet to attribute them to the Omniscient God. The list of the errors in the Quran is very long, and are discussed in full detail in other books. Here, we have a limited space to list only a few samples. Our goal is to question whether God can make such errors, whether God was in fact the author of the Quran.

Every word of God is flawless;. he is a shield to those who take refuge in him. (Proverbs 30:5)
2 Timothy 3:16 states that "All Scripture is inspired by God." The term "inspired" here is not used in the sense of "Beethoven was inspired to write great symphonies." It literally means "God-breathed." This applies to the entire Bible, and extends to the actual words, not just the concepts ("all Scripture"). Jesus also affirmed this for the Old Testament (Matt. 5:18) and promised this for the New Testament (John 16:12-15; 14:26).
Since God always speaks the truth, it follows that the Scriptures are without error. Jesus treated them this way, even basing his point in an argument with the Pharisees on the tense of a single word (Matthew 22:31-32; see also Galatians 3:16 where Paul does this as well) and stating "the Scripture cannot be broken" (John 10:35). This is called the doctrine of verbal, plenary inspiration, which means that the very words (verbal) of the Bible were all (plenary) God-breathed.
The Holy Qur'an cannot contain errors, simply for these three reasons:
1. God (Allah) Revealed It:
Allah says (interpretation of the meaning): " Verily, those who disbelieved in the Reminder (i.e. the Qur'an) when it came to them (shall receive the punishment). And verily, it is an honorable respected Book. Falsehood cannot come to it from before it or behind it (it is) sent down by the All-Wise, Worthy of all praise (Allah)." (Qur'an 41:41-42)
Allah also says (interpretation of the meaning): " All the praises and thanks be to Allah, Who has sent down to His slave [Muhammad (pbuh)] the Book (i.e. the Qur'an), and has not placed therein any crookedness. (He has made it) Straight..." (Qur'an 18:l-2)
He also says (interpretation of the meaning): " Allah has sent down the best statement, a Book (this Qur'an), its parts resembling each other in goodness and truth, oft-repeated." (Qur'an 39:23)
2. Allah Preserves It:
Allah has promised to always preserve His book. He says (interpretation of the meaning): " Verily We: It is We Who have sent down the Dhikr [Reminder (the Qur'an)] and surely, We will guard it (from corruption)." (Qur'an 15:9)
The Qur'an contains no additions. It remains today - letter for letter - as it was revealed over 1400 years ago -nothing added, nothing taken away.
Two of the original manuscripts of the Qur'an prepared 1400 years ago still exist today. One is in the Topkapi Sarav Museum in Istanbul, Turkey, and the other in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Both of these are identical in content with the Qur'an available all over the world today.
3. You Can Examine It:
Allah says (interpretation of the meaning): "Do they not then consider the Qur'an carefully? Had it been from other than Allah, they would have found therein much contradictions." (Qur'an 4:82)
Here Allah challenges people to find an error in the Qur'an. If it contains errors then it cannot be from Allah. If, on the other hand, it had been the production of a human being, it would definitely contain errors.

God himself said that he thought creating Man was a mistake, therefore He would drown the Earth. This shows a lack of confidence. Also the dinosaurs and neanderthals were "failed" experiments. God himself says that Man was made in His image - my question to that is what does God need with a body designed to exist in a gravitational environment? Constant references are made to the fact that God "walks" - in Eden, at Babel, with Enoch. He shows Moses his "hindparts" on Sinai that Moses not be slain from the glory of His face. God himself is subject to human emotions - anger, pity, love, even jealousy of a sort, as in "I am a jealous God". I believe that God is an evolving being himself. In the Old Testament God is continually given human attributes, features, and emotions, but by the New Testament God is more removed from this concept, eventually coming to be described as a "great white Light". There is an evolution going on there. The God that created the world may have been capable of errors, but his perfected form would not be.

if it is so full of errors, why do over a billion people call it their own? don't make assumptions of errors based on what is known now, but what was believed then
the bible also has glaring errors, factual. legal, and historical. does that mean it is not valid? it actually hasn't even been shown to have less than fifty different authors, depending on which books are include. some books, more accurate in fact and theologically, are even denied inclusion because the powerful people within the church hierarchy didn't want to have their rule questioned by anyone.

God never makes errors! He is perfect in everything He does! Have you ever notice that the sun never needs fixed, or that the moon and stars never need touched up, or that the grass, trees, mountains, lakes, oceans and rivers never need to be fixed or made better? That is because God created them and He made them perfect. Now, look at your house and your car. I bet they need fixed and repainted, etc, because they are man made. I bet your cloths need mending or thrown away and you get new ones because these too are man made. Also, I bet the street in front of your house has been re-done a couple times too, but God's creation has always been perfect.

well, i'm not good witht he quran but i would be led to believe that it may be based loosely on stories or legend.... or maybe its not meant to be literal.. like revelations which describes the downfall of nero through numerology, written by a man in his very own hell.
its good that you question it rather than follow blindly, but don't look to disprove, without faith there is little room for hope. you should look instead to see what they really mean or what they may have been seeing that maybe they couldn't accurately portray as an acient people.

Never Question God's Wisdom
[21:23] He is never to be asked about anything He does, while all others are questioned.
[21:24] Have they found other gods beside Him? Say, "Show me your proof. This is the message to my generation, consummating all previous messages." Indeed, most of them do not recognize the truth; this is why they are so hostile.
